The Senior Research & Development Engineer will be responsible for the day to day activities necessary to deliver customer projects, on time, on budget and to JRM AE high quality standards. The position will also be responsible for establishing & running JRM AE rig testing capabilities and facility.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Overall ownership and development of all rig testing facilities and equipment within JRM. This will cover full-vehicle, engine, gearbox, suspension, and component testing equipment as well as any other related equipment such as driver-in-loop (HIL) and hardware-in-loop (HIL).
• Working with the Technical Director to develop & implement the long-term strategic direction of the testing Facility, and product portfolio.
• The design, specification, build and testing of all new rig facilities within JRM AE.
• The establishment of a commercial testing capability.

The CNC Programmer and Operator will be required to create machine programmes using hyperMILL CAD CAM software for multi axis machining centres, and be responsible for the setting and operating of machines as required. The ideal candidate will be capable of producing precision components from 3D computer models and paper drawings with a right first-time approach working to a challenging production schedule.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Produce programs for our 3 & 5-axis CNC machines using hyperMILL CAD CAM software and reviewing existing programs in view of improving efficiencies. Proven experience of programming using hyperMill CAD CAM would be an advantage.
